Kimberly Wheaton-Middleton, LCSW "Your Perfectly Imperfect Therapist" is here to balance, support and motivate you during your mental workout!
Are you struggling with issues related to anxiety, major life changes, relationships, work/life balance, communication, or compassion fatigue? Are you staying awake constantly thinking about competing priorities and how to get it all done? Is your perception of success and good living keeping you up at night or causing you to feel depressed? There comes a time when many of us find ourselves in need of some help processing and coping with life's challenges beyond the support that a friend or family member can provide. It is okay to reach out to a professional and to take the time to make sure that person is the right fit for you. If you are looking for a therapist that understands imperfections and is willing to tailor your sessions to your individualized goals then I'm your therapist! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Mississippi, and I’d love to help you on your journey toward healing, balance and fulfillment. I have been doing therapeutic work with adults and children since 2010. I recently decided to start my own practice focusing my services on adults struggling with work/life balance, relational issues, anxiety, entrepreneurs and women that work in "Helping Professions", I currently offer individual and couples counseling using a combination of therapeutic modalities and some holistic concepts. Life can be overwhelming and sometimes even exhausting, but I’m here to guide you through your process. If you are willing to do the work so am I. My goal is to help you view yourself and the things in your life that are keeping you up at night through a new lens by nurturing your current perspective and bringing forth a brighter outlook.

A Bit About Therapy
Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing
The relationship between a therapist and a client should be constructive. Jeff Levy, LCSW and co-founder of Live Oak, Inc. described therapy using four metaphors in an article I recently read. The metaphor that best described the work we will do together is "Traversing the Jungle Path". Our first few sessions may feel like we are walking through the jungle together and we are having to navigate through all the natural stumbling blocks. We may even have to cut down some trees to clear our path but once we make it to the spot where we can see the waterfall we realize that the journey was worth it. Therapy is a safe and supportive space where a licensed professional can help you examine and process emotions, explore new thoughts and actions for more fulfilling days.  Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my goal is to help you develop life-changing habits, bring balance to your day to day and improve your overall quality of life. Sessions with me are designed to dissect the issues that are causing emotional imbalance for my clients. We set goals and achieve outcomes using effective tools to help them manage and begin to see the glass half full instead of half empty.
Services I Offer
I implement effective psychotherapy using various methods to impart change in the lives of my clients by helping them achieve self-understanding. I serve as a support, while they find their balance and I motivate them to continue using the skills they learn to lead fulfilling lives. My overall goal as a therapist is to help more people manage symptoms of anxiety and depression so that their day to day lives are more fulfilling, their relationships improve and they feel more confident. Since becoming a social worker, I have provided a variety of mental health services and supports including individual and group counseling. Achieving mental balance is a big part of being a whole healthy person. No need related to your mental well-being is ever to small to seek services and supports which is why I tailor services to suit your needs.
